Our Programmes

We offer Four-Year Bachelor of Education (BEd.) programmes at Berekum College of Education

JHS Education

The JHS Education Programme is designed to equip students with the requisite conceptual and practical skills as well as the right attitudes needed to teach at the JHS level of the Basic School Education.

Primary Education

The Primary Education Programme is aimed to training professionals who will educate and guide the pre-school pupils through the first stage of elementary education.

Early Childhood

The Early Childhood Programme is intended to train capable individuals who will lay down the foundation to pre-school pupils and prepare them for elementary education.

Major Areas

Students offering B.Ed. Primary Education and B.Ed. JHS Education will major in any of the following areas of specialization:

Qualifications

  1. WASSCE Candidates:
    Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six(6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Social Studies or Integrated Science plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
  2. SSSCE Candidates:
    Credit Passes (A-D) in six( 6) subject comprising three core subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Social Studies or Integrated Science plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
  3. GBCE Candidates:
    Credits Passes (A-D) in six(6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three relevant elective subjects
