The Estate Unit is obliged with the supervision and direction of interest held on landed properties towards achieving some optimum benefit. The unit has a mandate to acquire, develop, manage and appraise landed assets and properties (i.e. buildings, furniture etc.) with proper documentation and reporting made to College Management.

Functions

  • Advises management on estate matters including property acquisition, rent and rent review, lease renewal and disposal of unserviceable assets.
  • The unit undertakes routine inspection of the college's estates and preparation of regular report
  • Assisting in furnishing of duty posts, bungalows, flats, guest houses, offices, classrooms and lecture halls.
  • Prepares venues for functions and events such as congregations and matriculations
  • Preparation of asset register
  • Reports on encroachment of college property for appropriate actions
  • Ensure proper utilization of college properties
