Berekum College of Education Team Embarks on Academic and Cultural Exchange Programme in Germany

As part of the flourishing partnership between Berekum College of Education and Hans-Böckler-Berufskolleg (HBBK), Münster-Germany, a 10-member delegation from Berekum College of Education is participating in an academic and cultural exchange programme in Germany. This third international exchange programme, which commenced on 13th November and is scheduled to end on 5th December 2024, marks yet another milestone in the collaboration between the two institutions.

The delegation includes two senior staff members, Mr. Mark Gyan Asuah and Mr. Dominic Nti, alongside seven students: Emmanuel Asante, Josephine Gyamerah, Mavis Henewaa Obeng, Eunice Asabea Boakye, Ramsey Boahemaa Ameyaw, Atta Adjei Boateng, and Simon Boateng Apraku. Leading the team is the Partnership Coordinator, Mr. Andrews Ohene Darteh.

This exchange programme is designed to provide participants with a global understanding of their professions while fostering a lifelong learning experience. During their stay in Germany, the team will engage in a variety of activities, including academic discussions, classroom observations, cultural immersion, and collaborative projects with their counterparts at HBBK. These activities aim to enrich their professional skills, broaden their perspectives, and promote cross-cultural understanding.

This exchange programme offers a unique opportunity for staff and students to explore diverse educational practices, enhance cultural competence, and build networks that will undoubtedly influence the future of education in our college and beyond.

It is also part of a broader initiative to strengthen global partnerships and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on quality education and global partnerships.

The Berekum College of Education delegation is scheduled to return to Ghana on 5th December 2024, bringing with them invaluable experiences and insights that will enhance teaching, learning, and collaboration at the College. The team is expected to fly the flag of the College high in Münster-Germany.
