As part of the College's overall aim of promoting professional and personnel development of its staff, the Management of Berekum College of Education in collaboration with Prof. Festus Annor Frimpong of the University of Cape Coast organised this workshop. This was with the goal of achieving the above-mentioned objective and also to support to a larger extent the growth of the college staff.
Held on Thursday, the 7th of March 2024 at the College auditorium, this workshop sought to equip members of staff with knowledge, practical insights and guidance in the art of grant proposal writing.
The facilitator, Prof. Festus Annor Frimpong, also emphasized on the procedures and processes involved in successfully crafting a compelling grant proposal. In addition, he walked the trainees through the nitty gritties of identifying the appropriate agency to submit grant proposals after highlighting the need to identify, understand and streamline proposals to align with the objectives of the granting organization or agency.
Having introduced to the attendees a number of organizations that accept proposals and provide grants for their execution, the facilitator shared his success stories and experiences in securing a number of grants for his proposals and motivated the staff in that regard.
The Principal of the college, Mr. Sylvester Donkoh, also admonished the staff on the need to access these untapped resources to attract professional, academic and infrastrucutural development to the College. He then expressed his gratitude to the facilitator and staff members for their cooperation and participation.
